Das Gerät ist von dem Film Die rote Laterne von Zhang Yimou inspiriert und verweist auf einen emanzipatorischen Hintergrund. Die Komposition wird von der Musikerin Andina Bollinger live an physischen Körpern gespielt. Die Statist*innenkörper in Clap Clap Therapy II thematisieren emanzipatorische Werte, verwandeln den menschlichen in einen instrumentalen Resonanzkörper und hinterfragen damit gleichzeitig den Einsatz von Statist*innenkörpern, der mit einer ungleichen Verteilungvon Macht einhergeht. Die Frage nach dem Verfügungs- und dem Verwaltungsrecht des menschlichen Körpers wird schon lange in der Philosphie, wie auch in der Kunst thematisiert und bildet inhaltliche Eckpunkte der Performance. Text: Myriam Gallo, Kuratorin Clap Clap Therapy II The massage device for foot massages, built by Blond & Gilles especially for the Klöntal Triennale 2018, is used in the newly designed Clap Clap Therapy II sound performance for the Sattelkammer Bern. The deviceis inspired by the film The Red Lantern by Zhang Yimou and refers to an emancipatory background. The composition is played live on physical bodies by the musician Andina Bollinger. The extra bodies in Clap Clap Therapy II thematize emancipatory values, transform the human body into an instrumental resonance body and at the same time question the use of extra bodies, which goes hand in hand with an unequal distribution of power. The question of the right of disposal and the administrative right of the human body has long been a theme in philosophy as well as in art and forms the cornerstones of the performance in term s of content.
